This painting entitled "Poolbeg" features the wet sands of Sandymount strand at low tide with the unmistakeable and iconic Poolbeg Towers reflected in the rippling puddles and dominating the skyline.
The colours in the sky have been applied with transparent spray paints, enabling the grain of the wood to remain visible. The sand is created, using the natural colour of the bare wood, overlaid with a transparent, gold-glitter varnish to give it the sparkle and lustre of being wet.
The puddles are painted with metallic silver adding to the lustre of the piece.
Measuring 52cm x 97cm (20" x 38") it is presented ready to hang as pictured without the need for framing.
